I think I've gone from Dollar Store planners, to Art Supply store planners to making my own and bullet planning and you name it.
I used to be very relaxed with using a planner and would go through times where I didn't touch it. I would say to myself "I will remember what I need to do so it is a waste of time" (which is true I have a great memory) but there's so much more to it than that.
I'm going to tell you WHY I think a planner is important to achieving your goals or helping you get there quicker and the planners that are on my radar or my "LOVE" list.
Do you ever at the end of a day feel like you have NOT STOPPED working to take a break.....but when somebody asks you what you did, you know a few things but for the most part you blank?
I think it has happened to us all at some point, and if it hasn't happened to you....that's amazing!
OR maybe you hadn't given it too much thought.
I like to know what I can do to be more efficient, nail out my priorities and get things done! I want to grow and grow and not be stuck in any bad habits. Even small habits you have, that you do not realize you have, can be holding you back!
I found a daily planner in 2015 that I absolutely LOVE and I'm not sure if I will ever move on from it.
This is the Passion Planner. I'm blown away by how much this has helped me grow.
I know at one point at the end of 2015; for a few months I was absolutely exhausted all the time!
By dinner time every day I was struggling to stay awake.
I found that I was going through a motion of starting something and as I saw little things I needed to do along the way, I'd do all these little tasks with the bigger task and my brain was just going around in circles. I was getting a lot done, but I wasn't focusing on the bigger tasks at hand and my goals weren't being reached as quickly or by my deadlines.
I didn't really realize I was doing this until I started writing down my tasks and goals and really mapping out my plan of action each week. This has made me grow so much in the past year.
What I love about this planner:
It gets you to make a Passion Roadmap which includes goals for 3months/1yr/3yrs and lifetime.
Then you further break it down to pick the ones that would change your life for the best and make a plan of action and add the steps and deadlines into your planner.
It has a space each week to make your weekly focus and plan of action along with a ton of writing space; hourly list of what needs to be done when, how to prioritize. As you go through the week there's a space to write "Good things that happened" to make you remember how amazing you are and what you've accomplished, along with a weekly tip and quote to inspire and motivate you to do more.
After each month there is a list of questions that makes you go through your strengths/weaknesses and what you need to change and where to make things better etc. It really helps you get past any roadblocks you have.
The thing I love the most about planners is the fact that at the end of the year you can look back at any time and see how far you've come and what you've achieved and as the months go by. You can review how you broke bad habits and became better and better each month as you focused on YOU! I love to customize my planner and use it to inspire and remind myself why I do what I do every day as well!.
Another planner that is definitely on my list in the near future is a new one and I've had the pleasure of virtually meeting one of the amazing ladies behind "The Content Planner"
If you are a business owner trying to manage social media....you need this planner! There is no planner out there like this. It helps you organize, create and dominate your monthly goals for social media and the reach you want for your business. It helps you come up with monthly themes and makes planning it all a lot less overwhelming....especially if dealing with multiple platforms.
This is on my purchase list for 2017 and I am very excited about it and will absolutely give a review once I do try it!
What do you think about using a planner? Do you use one now and how has it helped you?
