BUT....let us talk about the year that just passed.
What happened in 2016 that got you where you are now? Did all those struggles and wins make you a better person?
For myself, absolutely!! I had some struggling times and times I wanted to give up on myself. It happens to all of us. Even just a split second of doubt may pass over you at some points. What puts you apart in the end; is that it didn't bring you down.
Going over my 2016 planner I wanted to take a look back at my year. This will give me a good idea on what goals I need to log in for the new year and what I need to work on.
I am happy to say that even though I had some bad and struggling times in 2016, I met ALL of my goals for 2016!
For my business AND where I wanted to be personally as well. This makes me want to get even further this year and celebrate at the end of 2017!
From one of my previous posts if you read it; I'm not much into making resolutions for the new year. If I really want something, I do it in the moment and don't wait for a new year to come.
The reason I'm talking about goals now is because of the planner I use. My next post I will write on "why" I use and love my planner, and this is one of those reasons. I can take a look back if I need inspiration and see how far I've come in that year.
Instead of only focusing on what you want this coming year; give yourself a reason to really want it! Look back and see what you did or how you changed and that will keep you motivated and excited for what is to come.
Celebrate your achievements; give yourself a reason to want to continue with it. Maybe if you hit a certain goal or target in your business; treat yourself, you deserve it!
If you didn't end up exactly where you wanted to be by end of 2016, sit down and really figure out what you want and break it down into manageable tasks. This way you can change your mindset and days to get to those goals.
Check back often and keep on top of it. Things don't happen right away. But if you keep at it and take it in small chunks, it makes everything seem so much more manageable!
Was 2016 overall a good year for you?
If you don't get a fuzzy feeling about how 2016 went, think back and find what did happen because there is always something. Find that something and celebrate where it has brought you and how it has made you a better person and what you learned through your journey.
Wishing you all the best!
